Love Spells and Potions
Oil of Love
On a moonlit night indulge in this sensually satisfying ritual bath that will make your skin glow and will surround you with a seductive aura.
It also makes an ideal, sexy tub for two.
Into a hot, steamy bath add:
3 ounces apricot kernel oil
3 ounces sweet almond oil
1 ounce aloe vera gel
1/2 ounce rosewater
13 drops jasmine essential oil
6 drops rose essential oil
Shake the mixture together and pour as much as you like into your bath. (The ingredients must be premixed so the power of the oils isn't diluted by the water before their properties bond.)
As you undress, imagine you are preparing for your lover. Sprinkle dried chamomile flowers and yarrow into the hot bath to steep. Light a rose or red candle (for passion) and say:
My heart is open, my spirit soars.
Goddess bring my love to me. Blessed Be.
As you soak, dream of what you'll do when the opportunity arises and bask in the rosy glow of this bath brew.

To Find A Lover
On the day of the new moon, cut a red heart out of new red crepe paper or card. If you have a wild rose, use a fallen petal that is heart-shaped. Take a clean sheet of paper and with a pen no one else has used, write on it this incantation:
As this heart glows in the candlelight,
I draw you, over, closer to me this night.
Then bathe and change into night clothes.
When you're ready, light a red candle and read the spell aloud. Hold the heart in front of the flame and let the candlelight shine upon it. Then place the heart and spell in a new envelope and seal it with wax from the candle. Conceal the envelope and leave it undisturbed for one cycle of the moon, which is twenty-eight days from the day you began your spell. By the time the moon is new, there should be a new love in your life.

Herbal Wine Love Spell
Gather these materials::
1 pink candle
1/4 tsp allspice
2 pinches nutmeg
1 tsp. basil
1 c. red wine
1 tsp. dill seed
Note: For non-alcoholic version, use apple juice instead of wine and add a few drops of red food coloring.
On a Friday when the moon is waxing, inscribe the candle with a pair of interlocking hearts, and anoint it with love oil. Place it near the kitchen stove and light it saying:
Candle flame, burn strong and bright.
From sparks of love, a flame ignite.
Bring my soul's mate love to me-
As I will, so mote it be!
Place the herbs in the saucepan and pour the wine on top. Bring the mixture to a boil, then let it simmer for six minutes. As it simmers, chant over it:
Mix energies, herbs, spice, and wine-
Call true love to me as you combine.
Remove the mixture from the stove and let it cool. Sweeten it with honey and pour it into a glass. Before you drink the potion, blow on it six time sand chant:
Potion of Love, flowing free,
Bring hot romance at once to me!
